Have you thought about what would make this season a great quarter?
A lot of advice is all about more, more, more.
More sales.
Higher AOV.
More revenue.
Better conversion rates.
Those are all fine directions, but do you actually know how much more you want? Or even need?
A lot of businesses I know would be crippled if they 10x'ed their sales overnight. Many would be in pain with only doubling their sales. They just aren't setup to scale in a way serve that many customers in a short period of time.
(My business included, at least with the level of support I try to provide)
Before the frenzy starts, it might be worth thinking of a few success criteria for the quarter.
What would make the quarter an okay quarter?
What about a good one?
Or a smashing success?
At what point would you be freaking out and want to slow-down or stop growth?
Rough numbers are fine, as this isn't an exact science.
But be realistic with how you'd feel. 10x more sales sounds nice on paper but would that mean 10x the hours or staff? Is that what you really want?
You can also review your past years and 4th quarters to see how they performed. That can give you a starting point.
