See how your customer segments have changed with the Customer Grid History

There's been a suite of analyses I've wanted to add to Repeat Customer Insights since first reading them.

I quietly launched the first back at the beginning of September but I've been watching its performance before officially announcing it. Eagle-eyed customers might have spotted it already.

Customer Grid History example

I'm calling it the Customer Grid History and it's powered by that little dropdown in the screenshot above.

Now the app will save historic snapshots of the Customer Grid, month-by-month. On the first of every month a new snapshot will be created that will let you look back and see how your customer segments have changed over time.

For example, you might see that you're losing Loyal customers to Neutral or Defected segments. Or maybe that your Average spenders are moving into the High AOV segment.

Each month while your account is active on the Entrepreneur or Growth plans, a new snapshot will be saved. Eventually you'll have a collection of snapshots to view and compare, giving you a level of historic analysis that hasn't been possible before.

This is the first of this type of feature that I've been planning for awhile. It took awhile for me to get the data organized to support the snapshotting. Now a lot more interesting data analyses on customer segments has opened up.

If you don't have Repeat Customer Insights yet or are on the Hobby plan, there's still time to signup and get October's analysis. That'll be a vital one to see the run-up to the holiday season.
