I'm amazed at how fearful Shopify stores are of email marketing.
Sure there are examples of stores running some crazy complex system, but that's not required.
You don't need an elaborate strategy or marketing automation. All the growth hacks, workflows, and flowcharts are optional (and useless in many cases).
All you need is:
- an offer
- a bit of sales copy about the offer
- a list of people
The offer and sales copy are up to you but you can re-use just about any promotion you've ever run.
It wouldn't take much to rework one of your holiday promotions into a summer promotion. The hardest part might be getting new images but you know what, you don't have to have fancy images for every promotion.
Don't have a holiday promotion? Create a 10% off coupon that expires in 4 days and use that.
The list of people is easy too.
You can send the promotion to everyone who has subscribed to your email list.
Or to get more fancy, you can just send to your previous customers and call it a VIP perk.
Or maybe you want to send to only a segment of your list, say the most frequent buyers. Repeat Customer Insights can help you build that list with a few clicks.
You could drum up some sales even if you do just the most basic option with the most basic offer.
Start June with a bang. Give email marketing a shot.
It's the highest converting marketing channel in Shopify for a reason...
