With higher end products it can be difficult to get a customer to make a purchase. You should do everything you can to drive home the value of the product and how it's worth more than the price, but the price still can have a major impact on your conversion rate.
What's one way around this?
If your product can be split apart or unbundled, that might be an easy option.
One Repeat Customer Insights customer sells paintbrushes in a travel pack of six brushes for $83.
He could change that and sell a single brush for $20 shipped.
This would let his customer try out the product, decide they really like the quality of it, and then purchase the rest of the full bundle.
Give them a discount so they only end up paying the same amount as the regular bundle and you can build an entire marketing campaign about try-before-you-buy.
And the sample orders will give him a better chance to talk to his customers and build up a long-term relationship with them.
If you haven't installed Repeat Customer Insights yet, it's a simple process to get a detailed look at your customer behavior.
I've even added a way to export the analyzed customers to a file so you can even import it into other systems (e.g. Facebook for a custom audience, Excel for some deeper segmentation)
