Last weekend (and this next weekend) I spent time building a cold-frame and some planter boxes from old fence wood I kept.
As a fence the wood was starting to fall apart but many boards still have a few years of life left. All I needed to buy was some screws and brackets.
Making use of "waste" can happen as you build out marketing campaigns.
- Have product photos that aren't quite right for the product page? Crop them to use in social media.
- Editing out a few sentences that don't fit the sales copy? Use it on your sales banner or collection page to pull people to the product.
- Have a handful of inventory from the last product version? Toss them into packages for your best customers as free gifts.
The key is to notice this waste and have some way to keep track of it so it's not lost.
