It's important to attract customers using more than one marketing channel.
In March 2019 the entire Internet saw Facebook suffer an outage.
This also took down Shopify's Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram sales channels, effectively stopping any traffic and sales from them.
If that was the only marketing channel you used, you probably had a horrible day.
It doesn't take an outage to damage your store though.
A friend of mine used to sell millions of dollars of her products through her store and Facebook was the main way she'd reach her customers. Until they started restricting her access to her audience unless she paid thousands per post. (She's since transitioned back to email marketing).
These stories and countless others should show why you need to have more than one marketing channel running and why you should be careful if those channels are owned by other people.
Relying on Facebook, Google, Pinterest, SEO, or only one way of attracting customers is risky. One false move or twitch can put you out of business.
Having two or three channels, or at the very least having a backup one in place could protect your store and sales.
Some JSON-LD for SEO customers have done this and built SEO into their primary or secondary channel.
JSON-LD for SEO has become a vital component for those store's SEO, especially since it's a pretty hands-off system.
If you'd like to boost your SEO by being awarded Google's Rich Results, installing JSON-LD for SEO is the first step.
