I've started to harvest some of the first main crops from the garden.
The yields have been much lower than where they should have been.
But I have to keep reminding myself that this is the first year and the soil will take awhile to get up to speed.
(Especially with a soil complication that I'll write about later)
We have plans to continue to improve the soil so year-by-year yields should improve.
It'll just take awhile since in the garden, time is measured by seasons and years. Not weeks or days.
In your Shopify store you might have started working on your SEO or marketing campaigns.
You might have received some early successes too.
But you might have seen very little or even flat responses.
Don't get dismayed when these new initiatives aren't performing quickly or to the level of other stores.
Long-term business success is also measured in years so as long as you keep at it, the results should stack up year-by-year. Quitting and switching to something new could cut-off and reset those success.
If you're having problems with customers not coming back or defecting to competitors, Repeat Customer Insights might help uncover why that's happening. Using its analyses you can figure out how to better target the good customers and let the bad ones go elsewhere.
