Watching for the unexpected

As Portland starts to head into some record temperatures and dry weather for April, I've had to start watering plants early.

I figured I had another few weeks before watering became an issue (we're still a week out from our 10% last frost date). Since I check on the garden everyday, I spotted some areas starting to dry up.

I got out my watering can, drilled some DIY irrigation buckets, and got to it.

Keeping a close watch on things is important in your store too. Even when sales look steady, you might be losing your better customers.

That's why it's best to watch a few metrics and to evaluate every metric on occasion. For example if your Repeat Purchase Rate drops or your purchase latency starts creeping up, those are signs of trouble with your repeat customers.

The Customer Purchase Latency report in Repeat Customer Insights breaks down those metrics and will analyze them for recommended course of action. Give it a try and see if it spots some dried out customers in your store.
